Overview
Albuquerque was supposed to be a graveyard. Instead, its dead are building walls, guarding streets, and reshaping the city according to a design no living mind can understand.
When Crow disappears into the ruins, the Contour begins to fracture—and with it, the fragile system keeping the Valley alive. Brand, Rascal, Finn, and their companions must return to the Cauldron, where every familiar route has changed and every movement seems to be anticipated.
Finn can hear a signal beneath the city. Vera knows more than she has admitted. And somewhere inside the sealed remains of Source Zero waits Crow’s brother—the first transformation created deliberately.
To bring Crow back, they must enter a city that learns from every step they take. But the deeper they go, the harder it becomes to tell whether they are hunting Zero—or being guided toward him.
